“Ofsted engaged Altus on several projects during 2020-22 through the Crown Commercial Service frameworks. This included frameworks RM6017 (Postal Goods, Services & Solutions), and they led our Invitation to Quotation (ITQ) for RM6170 (Print Management Services). Altus remained an integral part of the Ofsted team by guiding the transitioning to the new, improved solution. We were
delighted with the quality of the work that Altus consistently produced.”

Case Study

The Challenge

Examine Ofsted’s print and postal landscape through independent audit and data analysis

Produce an output report with detailed plans on how Ofsted could save money, improve quality, standardise services, integrate processes, achieve better governance, and ensure risk mitigation before transitioning to an improved position.

An ITQ was created and issued to potential CCS framework suppliers. After robust commercial and technical evaluation, a new supplier was appointed to serve Ofsted’s future print and postal requirements.

The new solution will deliver improved value for money and result in a sound and sustainable business model that meets the needs of stakeholders.

Ofsted achieved many things with the help of Altus. These included:

  • Postal savings
  • Management of contracts
  • Improved commercial capacity
  • Enhanced processes
  • Transparency of stakeholder usage
  • Reduction on resource
  • Risk mitigation
